Wanted to expand my use of ggplot in R to analyzing old data from previous projects and see how quickly I could make it look polished given a minimum amount of coding. In effect, I am slowly trying to eliminate my dependence on Excel, Matlab, and other propriety analysis tools while improving how I structure and organize my data.
This particular plot was from my work in the lab of Ian Cheong at Temasek Life Sciences in Singapore. C. novyi is an anaerobic bacteria that targets tumors when injected, the hypoxic environment found in tumor cores is a good breeding ground. Pomalidomide is a immunomodulator that we hoped to deliver with C. novyi as a one-two punch: the bacteria would destroy the core while the drug activated the immune system to attack the periphery. Unfortunately, the results from the first several dozen mice were inconclusive. The technique shows promise and hopefully it will be expanded upon in the future.
